About Sintrivani
Sintrivani is one of the most central areas of Thessaloniki, where Egnatia street meets Leoforos Stratou. Named after the large fountain (“sintrivani”) at the centre of the square, it is a key transit and academic hub.
The area hosts the “Panepistimio” / “Sintrivani” Metro station — one of the key stops on Line 1 connecting to the airport and the TIF expansion. Right next to it is the entrance to Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), the largest university in Greece with 75,000 students.
The University of Macedonia, the TIF-HELEXPO Exhibition Centre and the New Waterfront are all within 5-10 min on foot. The area is heavily student-oriented with many cafes, restaurants and services. During TIF (September) it fills with business visitors from across Greece and abroad.
